Society of St. Vincent de Paul
Vision: To seek the love of God through serving the poor and needy.
Mission: To alleviate the plight of the underprivileged through financial aid and rations distribution including home visitations.
The Society of St Vincent de Paul (SSVP) is an International Organization with its H.Q. in Paris. The society has become a worldwide society and today we have over 880,000 members and a universal society of 47,600 conferences with men and women of all ages and conditions in 132 countries on the five continents.
In Singapore, the SSVP QoP Conference provides service to its Friends in Need (FiNs) living within the East district boundary of Queen of Peace parish. Besides visiting their homes and providing them with financial aid, members celebrate Family Day outings and Christmas Parties with their FiNs. SSVP members also organize the annual Mass for the Sick in the parish as well as visits to the St Joseph Home & Villa Francis Home. They are also actively involved in fundraising activities for the poor. The society meets two Sundays a month at 10.30am at St. Carlo's Room
