Catechesis Ministry
This ministry provides catechesis for children and teens. The sessions are conducted on Sundays and each session is for an hour, coinciding with the times of service in the Church.
Besides the teaching of the Catholic faith and beliefs, the teachings and practices of the church are also taught. The texts used include the Bible and standardized textbooks recommended by the Singapore Pastoral Institute. The catechists conducting the sessions also share their own faith experiences and endeavour to assist in the faith growth of the young.
Children and teens are also prepared for the 3 main Sacraments, namely, First Rite of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion and Confirmation. Besides this, the catechists also prepare children for baptism.
Times of Classes on Sundays:
Kindergarten levels to Primary 5 – 10.30am to 11.30am
Primary 6 to Confirmation4 – 9.00am to 10.15am
Primary 6 to Confirmation4 – 9.00am to 10.15am
Duration of Classes:
Semester 1 - Mid January to end May
Semester 2 - July to end October
Registration for classes is on the start of classes in Semester 1
